A Gurugram resident, Akhil Maurya, was arrested for allegedly defrauding an Italian woman, Paola Bertolini, of 900 euros (approximately Rs 98,000) under the guise of marriage. Maurya, who posed as an AI film creator, convinced Bertolini to transfer money for a project before cutting off contact.
